title: Outer Kingdoms Map medium: ink on burned paper, red wine stains size: 8 x 10"

comment:
This unpublished map was huge fun to make. I first drew the map, scanned it, printed it on tan paper then burned the edges, folded it, ripped it, and spattered it with blood (red wine). Finally, I scanned the map again without pressing the scanner hood down completely to allow the folds to remain. This sort of map is exactly the sort of treasure map style I can imagine many characters in a story to fold out in a tavern at the beginning of a saga. WM
